More About Adam

A Chicago native, I moved to Florida in 2019, first to Jacksonville and then, apparently not hot enough, to Southwest Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business and Spanish Translation from Northern Illinois University, and my MBA from the University of St. Francis, where I was inducted as a member of Delta Mu Delta for my academic achievements.

Though spare time is rare, I enjoy reading, in particular historical non-fiction about Abraham Lincoln, his family, and the American Civil War era. A great place to read these books is on the amazing gulf beaches, a favorite being Sanibel.

I am a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the National Diversity Council, and the Florida Diversity Council. In addition to holding a BA and MBA, I also earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), and Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR) certifications.

What People Are Saying

  • Sampath Malikarjunan

Adam is the single most talented People Ops professional I've ever worked with -- which is saying something given the companies I've had the pleasure of being at.

Not only is he the only person who could make me feel truly comfortable with the nuances of HR and compliance to the point where I could trust him 110% to handle it without me (and make decisions independently), he was also the heart of the company as a leader building our culture. As a CEO, I obviously know the importance of culture in recruiting, retention, and maximizing productivity -- but it has never been an area in which I was specialized or creative.

I could trust Adam to build initiatives, launch programs, and even proof-read my emails before I sent them to the whole company or give feedback on my Company Town Hall content to make sure that it would resonate the way I wanted to.

    He's highly competent. Objectively.

He also happens to be an extremely and genuinely good person, subjectively. He was a pleasure to have on my team.

Those two variables combined made him incredibly effective -- just look at the employee engagement & satisfaction statistics during his tenure!

He's who you want handle the black-and-white details of People Ops but he's also who you want on your team when you need to navigate the more nuanced gray areas of building a great culture and team.

Oh and he did all of this without ever getting additional budget (we're a startup, not HubSpot!). I swear he makes People Ops yield appear out of thin air.

If I have to think about a leader who portrays a 9,9 leadership (Managerial Grid), for me it would be Adam. He has been the leader whom I not just look up to and try to emulate, but a leader I would like to develop into as well. A leader who walks the talk.
When I interviewed with him, I felt I could bring my whole self in, as he brought so much trust, transparency, and compassion into that very first conversation itself. I instantly knew that he would be a manager whom I would want to work under.

Working with him (he made me feel it was a partnership) has been a blessing - every conversation with him built my confidence. He would hold space for me to bring out my ideas, voice them, encourage me to go further, and truly listen. In the team he built, I felt safe, heard, recognized, and provided with feedback for growth. The clarity he brought in for the team, in terms of the vision as well as in the decisions, helped us to become the best people professionals that we could be, and take the vision forward.

I used to so look forward to the conversations we would have, and it is something that I would now terribly miss. I look up to Adam as my mentor, not just in the professional space, but as an amazing human being. I know he will be building great teams and inclusive people processes wherever he chooses next to be, and blessed are those whose journeys cross his path.

When you think People Ops, the first person that comes to mind should always be Adam Reidel. I've worked with some amazing people leaders, yet his focus on employee well-being, the entire hiring process, global leadership, and knowing what to say and do in the most positive manner is awe-inspiring. I learned a lot from Adam - his implementation of a new HRIS system, payroll vendor, job leveling, employee feedback, and with his consistent focus on OKRs - makes him a logical and competitive leader for any organization lucky enough to have him on their team. It would be delightful if I could work with Adam again simply because he is the BEST!

Adam is a caring, empathetic and engaging HR professional that goes above and beyond in his approach to developing engaging, people centered programs. He is innovative and proactive in partnering with leadership to drive business performance. Adam routinely created and implemented initiatives that helped optimize company culture and is highly skilled in all areas of talent development and retention. He is a valuable addition to any leadership team and a strong asset to the People function.

  • Lindsay Bray Landsberg

Adam Reidel is a phenomenal HR executive who I’ve had the pleasure to place as candidate and work with as a client. He exhibits strong empathy for hourly employees on the front line of a business — seeing them as the lifeblood of a business. He is a true HR generalist having written employee handbooks, set up compensation and benefit programs, led talent acquisition and more. He is at home in high growth environments, and sees his role as helping to accelerate growth. Adam is energetic and expressive, becoming most passionate when talking about his love for the employee base he serves. Any business looking to grow, create a strong employer brand and nurture a great culture would be lucky to have Adam Reidel leading their HR team.

  • Robin Holdren

During the three years I worked with Adam he remained focused on ensuring all HR related issues were resolved in the best interest of the company and the employee. He developed relationships across business units with Divisional Vice Presidents, other directors and senior managers. This enabled him to drive the business strategies of the company and HR. He led a team of HR Managers, providing guidance and direction for resolving issues and for their individual development. Adam was instrumental in driving the talent review process in his divisions, identifying critical gaps, high potentials and successors. Adam will be an asset to other companies, as he was to GPI and Learning Services.
